The Lightning Seeds are an alternative pop and rock band from Liverpool formed by singer and guitarist Ian Broudie. They are best known for their singles Three Lions, Pure, Life of Riley and Lucky You and the album Jollification. They have achieved two No.1 singles in the UK Singles Chart, as well as Top 20 success in the UK Album Charts.

Made in CroydonThe Damned are an English gothic punk band from Croydon. They are notable for being the first punk rock band from the United Kingdom to release a single New Rose followed by Love Song and Eloise. With the flamboyant Captain Sensible on guitar they have incorporated numerous styles into their music and image, including: garage rock, psychedelic rock, cabaret, and the theatrical rock of Screaming Lord Sutch and Alex Harvey.

ROXROX

Made in CroydonBorn in Norbury, ROX formed her first band in 2007 and signed with Rough Trade. ROX has released the Radio 2 playlist single My Baby Left Me and appeared on tours with the likes of Mark Ronson and Daniel Merriweather as well as on Later... with Jools Holland. Her debut album is out this year.

ROX is hotly tipped for success in 2010, being selected as HMV's "Next Big Thing" and featuring in The Guardian, Sunday Times and The Independent as an act to watch out for in the coming year.

Nhasitafara are a big band with a huge sound, playing truly 'world' music. They mix traditional mbira sounds from Zimbabwe with the heavy sounds of afro-beat and reggae. "Papa" Linos Magaya Wengara fronts this fifteen piece band with a passion, spirit and skill rooted in Zimbabwean and Shona tradition.

Sound Painting with Singing Bowls, Overtone Singing and percussion

Michael Ormiston is a multi-instrumentalist and the UK's foremost Mongolia Khoomii (Overtone) Singer. He was trained in Mongolia and now performs and teaches internationally. During the Sound Painting workshop explore the fun in learning overtone singing, Tibetan singing bowls and other ethnic/invented instruments.

Wall of Death World TourWall of Death World Tour

Wall of Death World TourLondon Exclusive For 2010 – Wall of death riders in one of the world’s most exciting live action shows! This unique show is an 18ft high cylindrical wall around which performers ride on vintage Indian motorcycles. Spectators view the amazing daredevil stunts from a viewing platform at the top of the wall.

A typical fifteen minute performance includes straight riding, a go-kart, trick and acrobatic riding and the sensational Hell Riders Race, with three riders on the wall at the same time in a high speed race, a breathtaking finale to the show.

Next to the Green Village and open for the first time at the festival, the bowling green will be offering tours and a chance to buy tea and cakes.

Disc Golf

Made in CroydonCroydon Disc Golf Club has its home in Lloyd Park. The sport of Disc Golf is a game played to the rules of Golf but with Frisbees and a metal basket on a pole. The idea is to throw the Frisbee into the basket. Come and visit us to try the sport out. Disc Golf is a sporting activity that can be played by 8-80 year olds... and played together. We will be at the far north east corner of the park.
