The Lightning Seeds
The Lightning Seeds are an alternative pop and rock band from Liverpool formed by singer and guitarist Ian Broudie. They are best known for their singles Three Lions, Pure, Life of Riley and Lucky You and the album Jollification. They have achieved two No.1 singles in the UK Singles Chart, as well as Top 20 success in the UK Album Charts.

Martha Reeves & the Vandellas
Martha Reeves and the Vandellas were among the most successful groups of the Motown roster during the period 1963-1967. Hits include (Love Is Like a) Heat Wave, Nowhere to Run, Jimmy Mack and, their signature song, Dancing in the Street.
The Damned
The Damned are an English gothic punk band from Croydon. They are notable for being the first punk rock band from the United Kingdom to release a single New Rose followed by Love Song and Eloise. With the flamboyant Captain Sensible on guitar they have incorporated numerous styles into their music and image, including: garage rock, psychedelic rock, cabaret, and the theatrical rock of Screaming Lord Sutch and Alex Harvey.
ROX
Born in Norbury, ROX formed her first band in 2007 and signed with Rough Trade. ROX has released the Radio 2 playlist single My Baby Left Me and appeared on tours with the likes of Mark Ronson and Daniel Merriweather as well as on Later... with Jools Holland. Her debut album is out this year.
ROX is hotly tipped for success in 2010, being selected as HMV's "Next Big Thing" and featuring in The Guardian, Sunday Times and The Independent as an act to watch out for in the coming year.
Nhasitafara
Nhasitafara are a big band with a huge sound, playing truly 'world' music. They mix traditional mbira sounds from Zimbabwe with the heavy sounds of afro-beat and reggae. "Papa" Linos Magaya Wengara fronts this fifteen piece band with a passion, spirit and skill rooted in Zimbabwean and Shona tradition.
IDMC Gospel Choir
Croydon based IDMC are a group of dynamic, inspirational and talented singers and musicians created in 1994 by its founder and director John Fisher who has worked with established names such as The London Community Gospel Choir, Chaka Khan, Mica Paris and Candi Staton

Joe Hood
Singer songwriter and talented key boardist, Joe Hood, was the winner of Croydon Council’s 2010 unsigned music competition Testing 123. He is presently recording his first album and will appear along with his band.
DJ Cal Jader
DJ Cal Jader plays the freshest Latin beats combining classic rhythms with contemporary cutting edge dance floor and urban beats. From Cumbia, Ska, Reggae, Hip Hop to Salsa, Merengue and Reggae and Funky Latin and global beats.

Club Soda Pop Tent
New for 2010, come into this brightly decorated tent of fun and frivolity to let your hair down, watch talented performers from across Croydon and mingle with street artists. The highlight of the stage will be the astonishing world's number one Michael Jackson tribute artist, Glenn Jackson. The Club Soda Pop Tent will be hosted by Croydon adults with learning difficulties and Croydon Arts’ Stewards who have trained in DJing, compeering, performing and technical skills. Dance the day away!
Bandstand
Programmed and sponsored by the Green Dragon Pub and Black Sheep Bar, the Bandstand will showcase a cross section of Croydon’s finest musicians from fiery folk to home spun dub step. Pull up a hay bale and soak in the sounds…

Beatboxing sounds great and what’s more – anyone can do it! All you need is your voice and a willingness to try something new. You don’t need any past experience and there’s no age limit. Learn fun drum sounds, vocal scratches or just some crazy noises that will entertain and amaze, and then get the chance to show off your skills with Stu from teem180.
Sound Painting with Singing Bowls, Overtone Singing and percussion
Michael Ormiston is a multi-instrumentalist and the UK's foremost Mongolia Khoomii (Overtone) Singer. He was trained in Mongolia and now performs and teaches internationally. During the Sound Painting workshop explore the fun in learning overtone singing, Tibetan singing bowls and other ethnic/invented instruments.

The Heliosphere
See an awe-inspiring creation! A giant, beautiful balloon rises, falls and glides around, suspending a balletic aerialist below it who tumbles and turns from ground level to 20 meters in a heartbeat. One minute she is close enough to touch, the next she is somersaulting in the clouds. It’s a spectacle that will inspire, mystify and enchant you.
The Whale – The Mariner’s Museum
Inside The ginormous Whale, to the sounds of crashing waves, join the Cap’n in his living museum of deep sea wonders. Curiosities include mermaids’ purses; an arm wrestling octopus; a skeleton with xylophone ribs and bewildering flotsam and jetsam, some of which you can touch and taste!

Play Place are a not for profit Community Interest Company who deliver children’s and young peoples clubs, roadshows and events in Croydon, London and Kent.
Wall of Death World Tour
London Exclusive For 2010 – Wall of death riders in one of the world’s most exciting live action shows! This unique show is an 18ft high cylindrical wall around which performers ride on vintage Indian motorcycles. Spectators view the amazing daredevil stunts from a viewing platform at the top of the wall.
A typical fifteen minute performance includes straight riding, a go-kart, trick and acrobatic riding and the sensational Hell Riders Race, with three riders on the wall at the same time in a high speed race, a breathtaking finale to the show.
Green Village
The Green Village is an interactive community area consisting of council and partner agency stalls and interactive displays all clustered around the village green. Highlights in this years village include a Youth zone, the LV Safety Bus and the Council's Culture Corner with a fun day of programming including story telling, short films and sub culture dressing up!

Bowling Green
Next to the Green Village and open for the first time at the festival, the bowling green will be offering tours and a chance to buy tea and cakes.
Disc Golf
Croydon Disc Golf Club has its home in Lloyd Park. The sport of Disc Golf is a game played to the rules of Golf but with Frisbees and a metal basket on a pole. The idea is to throw the Frisbee into the basket. Come and visit us to try the sport out. Disc Golf is a sporting activity that can be played by 8-80 year olds... and played together. We will be at the far north east corner of the park.
